About the book: 2024 / Works written more than a hundred years ago by famous scientists and included in this book are united by the theme of war and its consequences. After the outbreak of the First World War, which gave rise to a lot of nervous diseases that required explanation and treatment, representatives of different psychological schools debated about this. What exactly is “traumatic neurosis” flared up with renewed vigor. Psychoanalysts led by Z. Freud expressed their point of view in the collection “Towards the Psychoanalysis of Military Neuroses” (compiled based on the materials of the discussion at the V International Psychoanalytic Congress in 1918), which today is of interest not only as a historical document, but also as an example of psychoanalytic thought , concerning the psychoanalytic understanding of the specifics of war neuroses.
