About the book: 1966 / "Moon of Twenty Arms" - was the first collection of Italian science fiction, published in Russian in the seventies. Along with works widely known in Italian science fiction writers Lino Aldani (“Moon of Twenty Arms”, etc.), Anna Rinonapoli (“Night Minister”, etc.), Sandro Sandrelli (“Hypnoprompter”, etc.) it includes stories by writers who at that time were completely have recently turned to this genre. These are Inicero Cremaschi (“Collapse”), Italo Calvino (“The Water Grandfather”, etc.), Dino Buzzati (“And the Flying Saucer Came Down”), etc. The collection is very multifaceted. It includes stories dedicated to traditional science fiction with the theme of “aliens from outer space”, “space detective”, satire and humor, and sometimes an outright parody of hackneyed science fiction plots and cliches.
