About the book: 1982 / Stepan Zalevsky was born in 1948 in the village of Kalinovka, Kokchetav region. Before entering and graduating from the Literary Institute, he changed more than one working profession. He worked as a tractor driver in the virgin lands, as a mechanic at Uralmash, and as a turner in Moscow. He served in the army in the Far East. Knowledge of life in different parts of our country, knowledge of oneself in it and the people around him - all this is reflected in his prose. Stepan Zalevsky's stories, delighting with their unique liveliness and fresh imagery, were published in Literary Russia, Ural, Moscow and were noted by critics. “On Light Winds” is Stepan Zalevsky’s first story. The story is written in a lively and exciting way. The best pages, and they are the majority, are marked by professional craftsmanship. The story visibly recreates the signs of our time, in which the living breath of modern rural life is clearly felt.
