About the book: 1981 / Vincent Schikula (born in 1930) is a famous Slovak prose writer. His trilogy is dedicated to the life of the peasants of Western Slovakia in the period from the beginning of the Second World War and the establishment of the Slovak puppet clero-fascist state to the liberation of the country by the Soviet Army and the creation of a new Czechoslovakia.
