About the book: 2019 / "Rudnik" is a novel in stories connected not only by common characters, but also by the era: Siberia from the mid-nineteenth century to the pre-revolutionary years of the twentieth century and today. The events are based on the court case of the 1870s at the Altai mine at the Kolyvano-Voskresensky factories, Polish hard labor and Irkutsk exile, the pre-revolutionary years in Krasnoyarsk and the Red Terror in Khakassia.
