Lovett's range of interests is extremely wide - he has published six books and more than 2000 articles in popular science and economics journals, as well as in most of the most prominent American and Canadian newspapers on topics of remote sensing, ecology, analytical chemistry, toxicology, food microbiology, etc. In addition, Lovett actively writes about extreme tourism, cycling and marathon running (he co-authored a book about the latter with Alberto Salazar, a three-time winner of the New York Marathon). The author made his debut in science fiction in 2003 with the story “Equalization.” , published in the magazine "Analogue". Subsequently, he published several dozen novels and short stories, most of which were also published in Analogue. Lovett is also known for his popular science articles from the “Science fact” series.
