About the book: year / Nikita Stifat (+ c. 1090), presbyter, reverend. Born around 1005. Became a novice Studite Monastery from the age of fourteen, a close disciple and cell attendant of the Monk Simeon the New Theologian (+ 1022) in the later years of the latter’s life. Nikita was subsequently the first describer of the life of Saint Simeon, an imitator and follower of his holy life, and an adherent of his theological views.
