About the book: year / PREFACE BY THE LOVER This is a translation of Orwell's story "Animal Farm", which was published in samizdat in the 70s. I don't know who the translator is. In the mid-90s, a friend of mine was going to publish this translation. He scanned the text of the typewritten manuscript. I proofread this scan, checked it with the English text and re-translated a few missing pieces. Then I couldn’t resist and slightly edited the translation. I like him much more than all the others.
