MediaDB / «Popular movements in North Africa and the kingdom of the Vandals and Alans" Vasily Sirotenko: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1990 / The textbook highlights the conditionality of the formation of the kingdom of the Vandals and Alans by the socio-economic development of North Africa, the aggravation of social struggle and the appeal of representatives of two groups of the ruling class for vandal help. The author refutes the prevailing idea of the alliance of the oppressed masses with the conquerors and shows that it was not the oppressed masses, but the separatist group of the nobility, led by Boniface, and the imperial government who paved the way for the conquerors to Africa in order to contrast them with each other and, most importantly, to suppress the revolutionary movement of the exploited masses and reflect the offensive of the Moor-Berbers, from whom these masses found refuge and support. Attached are documents showing the oppression of Roman taxes, the development of the colonate, the exacerbation of class struggle and the consequences of the invasion of Vandals and Alans in Africa.
