MediaDB / «Revolution" Viktor Martinovich: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2021 / Picking up a new book by a Belarusian author with the title "Revolution", a hasty reader will think: wow, he reacted quickly! And he will be wrong. The book was written in 2013. But Viktor Martinovich has such a creative feature - to look into the future without timidity, to identify hidden trends, to assume the development of events, even the most incredible. This happened with “Mova”, and with “Sphagnum”, and with “Lake of Joy”, and with “Night”. Sometimes these are forecasts, sometimes they are warnings. And this time too: the “revolution” invented by Martinovich is frighteningly realistic, although the author does not hide the playful nature of the novel, into which meaningful quotes from “Faust”, “Crime and Punishment”, “The Queen of Spades”, “The Master and Margarita”, “ Dragon”... And at the same time an excellent text of its own - with humor, with interesting architectural and semiotic observations. The author himself, presenting his novel, said this: “This is a story about how a person, having risen to power, gradually turns into a piece of crap.” In general, everything is very similar to the truth - the political landscape, the morals of the bureaucratic hierarchy, and human characters. God forbid that it comes true.
