About the book: 2004 / Gleb Semyonov, a wonderful St. Petersburg poet of the second half of the 20th century, became a kind of legend. From his famous literary associations came many subsequently famous poets and prose writers, people who determined the face of St. Petersburg culture in the 1960s and 1970s. Gleb Semyonov became for them, for all of our literature, one of the most important connecting threads with the art of the past. At the same time, the actual poetry of Gleb Semyonov remains practically unknown to the reader. During his lifetime, collections were published that were seriously disfigured by editors and censorship; the poet's special living voice never became a reality outside the narrow circle of his friends and students. The proposed book is the first fairly representative collection of the poetry of Gleb Semyonov. It includes poems from all the collections compiled by the poet himself and gives an adequate idea of ​​the poet’s creative path, the features of his poetics.
