About the book: 2019 / This book consists of two sections. The first presents portraits of outstanding Soviet historians - V. M. Dalin, A. R. Ioannisyan, G. S. Kucherenko, with whom the author had the opportunity to work and communicate for many years in the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR. One of the articles is devoted to the polemics of A. Mathiez with Soviet historians, the other - to his student J. Godchaux, one of the leading specialists in the history of the French Revolution of the 18th century. The second section contains publications of important archival documents that shed light on the scientific cooperation of Soviet historians, as well as their connections with French colleagues. The book is intended for historians.
