About the book: 1983 / Brian McCabe was born in 1951 in Edinburgh, where he currently lives and works. He published two collections of poetry, and his stories and poems appeared in anthologies and various magazines. In 1980 he was awarded a writing fellowship by the Scottish Arts Council. The story "Table d'hote" was first published in the New Edinburgh Review in 1980.
