About the book: 2020 / Sonnet 90 is one of the 154 sonnets written by the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare. Revealing the full picture of the series of sonnets, as one of the main fragments of the series of sonnets “Fair Youth”, in which the poet expresses his affection for a young man during a period of interpersonal crisis, namely the complete breakdown of their relationship. Marshak, it turns out, had nothing to do with it; his translations of Shakespeare’s sonnets fascinated me as a child, causing delight and amazement. But tireless time passed, not frozen in ossified expectation. And the evolution of consciousness persistently demanded a rethinking of the previous one, for the next step in the progressive ascent to the next stage of evolution. To the famous Shakespearean phrase: “Poor Yorick, I knew him Horatio...”, one would like to exclaim: “Poor Shakespeare»!
