About the book: 1995 / Michael Coney. Winter's Children. 1974. After the catastrophe, severe cooling begins on Earth. People have adapted to living in the ruins of buildings under the snow. However, their lives are threatened not only by the cold - the heroes have to fight well-armed squads of cannibals and predators with telepathic abilities. A new ice age has arrived, and the Earth has disappeared under a multi-meter layer of snow. People live in communities in former settlements, dig tunnels in the ice, eat canned food from former stores, hunt Paws and other animals, and resist meat hunters.
