MediaDB / «The Formation of the Philosophy of Marxism" Theodore Oizerman: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1974 / The book comprehensively analyzes the historical process of the formation of the philosophical views of K. Marx and F. Engels. The first edition, published in 1962, was awarded the Lomonosov Prize from Moscow University in 1965. In this second edition of the monograph, the historiographical essay and sections devoted to the problem of alienation, the formation of materialist dialectics and historical materialism have been significantly expanded. * * * The proposed second edition (1976) was awarded the USSR State Prize in the year of the 100th anniversary of the death of Karl Marx (1983). The third edition was published in 1986. * * * After a “reassessment of values” within the framework of “self-criticism of Marxism,” the author prepared a new version of the book, which was published in 2011 under the title “The Emergence of Marxism.” The same version of the book made up the first volume of selected works, published in 2014 for the 100th anniversary of the birth of T.I. Oizerman (born May 1/14, 1914). The nature of the “revaluation of values” is evidenced by the fact that the “self-criticism of Marxism” did not go so far as to reject all the regalia received in those years when the author of the book (in his own words) was intoxicated himself and himself intoxicated others. Thus, in conditions of the triumph of commodity-money relations, personal material existence completely determined the mind, honor and conscience of the venerable academician from Marxism. It will be all the more interesting to get acquainted with the proposed edition of the work, published in a fundamentally different socio-historical situation.
