About the book: year / A short play about the artist Kendle, who has memory problems, as a result of which he finds himself in a provincial town. The local doctor recognizes him as a great artist and informs his son about his father’s illness. In an instant, the provincial hotel turns into just a courtyard: reporters, doctors, relatives, businessmen come here. And everyone wants to know where Kendle’s last paintings went. The son insists on declaring his father insane in order to take matters into his own hands, the daughter drinks hopelessly, and the strict nurse does not allow anyone near the artist. But the old man unexpectedly calls his grandson and granddaughter to him, and then asks the local doctor to sign his will.
