    About the book: 2017 / The work, for the first time in domestic and foreign historiography, carried out a comprehensive reconstruction of the regime of military captivity applied in Russia to subjects of the Ottoman Empire during the Russian-Turkish War of 1877–1878 Based on extensive material extracted from the funds of 23 archives of the former USSR and about 400 sources published at different times in Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Romania, the USA and Turkey, the procedure and rules for managing the contingent of these persons, starting with the moment of their captivity and ending with repatriation or naturalization. The book is addressed to both specialist historians and all those interested in the events of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877–1878, issues of military captivity and internment, as well as the past of Russian-Turkish relations.
