Loneliness, misunderstanding and slander accompanied Millyar all his life. Despite his enormous popularity, he was “given” the title of People’s Artist of the RSFSR only 4 years before his death - at the age of 85. He dreamed of the roles of Voltaire and Suvorov. But the directors saw him only as a “freak.” He agreed with everything and accepted everything. But one day it burst! He poured out his contempt and dissatisfaction on paper. This is how the famous “Millar’s ​​Alphabet” was born - with aphorisms and obscenities.
