About the book: 1965 / F. Anstey (1856–1934) - famous English humorist writer, author of many books. The most famous is the “Copper Jug”. Descriptions of miraculous transformations were combined in F. Anstey's books with truthful everyday pictures. He often used fiction to humorously portray the English bourgeoisie, ridiculing its mores, its absurd ideas about laws, decency and morality.
