About the book: year / An army comrade leaves an apartment to an ordinary clerk in the distant mining town of Slavinsk. Drawn by mercantile interest, the main character comes to get acquainted with the gift and, unwittingly, becomes a participant in truly strange and frightening events associated with the disappearance of residents and the appearance of unknown figures on the streets.
