(“The Tale of Olga” and “The Tale of Feodosia”), Vladimir-Suzdal Rus' of the 12th century. (“Theodoretz White Klobuchok”), Muscovite Rus', 16th century. (“Who Dies”) The hero of the story is priest Theodore, the spiritual mentor of Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky, who was appointed bishop without accepting the monastic rank, convicted for this and demoted by the church council.
