About the book: 1980 / The idea of ​​publishing a book in Russian for the Soviet reader, consisting of questions from foreigners about our country and answers to them, at first seemed dubious . However, the response to the first issue, published more than two years ago, dispelled doubts. People of different ages and professions wrote to us from different regions of the USSR: most of them liked the book, and they offered to continue the work we had started. Here is the second edition of the book of the same name. It includes new questions submitted by our foreign readers. From the first issue we have retained only a small part, providing it, of course, with more recent data.
