About the book: 1990 / Professor and rabbi Eliezer Berkovich was born in 1908 in Romania. He graduated from the Hildesheimer Rabbinical Seminar in Germany and was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Berlin in 1933. From 1936 to 1939. His books in the field of Halakha are “Conditions for Marriage and Divorce”, “The Power and Purpose of Halakha”, “The Doctrine of Causality in Halakha” - published in Jerusalem by the Rabbi Kook Institute. In 1975, Eliezer Berkovich immigrated to Israel. He lives in Jerusalem and continues his fruitful scientific, theoretical, literary and teaching activities..
