About the book: year / The first issue of the historical and journalistic magazine "Prometheus" founded by members of the Club of Left Historians and Social Scientists (CLIO). Its goal is to make historical knowledge the lot of many, to illuminate (both literally and figuratively) the most striking episodes in the history of the liberation, anti-absolutist movement of our people. Show the authentic sources for its inspiration, as well as the influence it had on contemporaries and descendants. The authors of the almanac openly declare that their main task is, on the basis of objective historical analysis and objective data, to block militant falsifiers of the most heroic pages of Russian history – and in particular, its Soviet stage, as the absolute pinnacle in the thousand-year historical path of the peoples of Russia on the path to independence, freedom and progress.
