About the book: 2023 / The author of the book, an outstanding thinker and public figure, wrote a philosophical novel about the adventures of a sinful soul in the other world. As Alexander Prokhanov, a master of the novel genre, notes in the preface, “Endless Descent” makes a great contribution to the world literary “hell studies”, while it is a kind of guide to the underworld, but also a textbook-navigator for a sinner striving to escape from hell: “Averyanov’s Hell will seem familiar to you, in it you will guess many characters of our time, what has already ended and what is still going on. You will guess social movements and collisions, which are essentially hellish movements and collisions. Averyanov, a trained etymologist and political scientist, knows about them first-hand.” The book also presents poems, songs, and short poems written by Vitaly Averyanov in 2016–2023. Over the years, the author has become known as a songwriter and composer, several arranged discs have been released, as well as more than 20 song video clips. In the final part of the book, the largest poet of our time, Timur Zulfikarov, and the famous linguist, Honored Professor of Moscow State University Vladimir Elistratov, devote their notes to multi-genres and “ multimusic" by Averyanov. According to Zulfikarov, in poetry and song Averyanov appears as an extremely rare creative type: a poet-warrior, an accordion of Russian resistance and revival, whose melodies come from Mussorgsky, a poet-philosopher and a satirist. Many problems raised by Averyanov as a philosopher, ideologist and analyst, are depicted here in artistic form: through literary characters, plots, symbols and metaphors - which is why they acquire even greater intelligibility and depth, convincingness of diagnosis and prognosis.
