About the book: 1972 / Several books by the famous Ossetian writer Totyrbek Dzhatiev have already been translated into Russian - “Two Friends”, “Sea Horseman”, “Mountain Star” , “Flame over the Terek”, “Dika”, a collection of stories and short stories has been published. Two stories are included in this book. The first story, “Secret Paths,” tells the true story of the brave commander of a special Ossetian partisan brigade, Khatagov, who operated during the war on the territory of Belarus. The second story, “My Gray Curls,” tells about the fate of the Ossetian Nazirat—about her joyless childhood, which passed in the conditions of Tsarist Russia, about young and mature years that coincided with the birth and establishment of Soviet power in the Caucasus. Nazirat's character matured and grew stronger in hardships and struggle. Having connected her life with Lenin’s party, Nazirat walked with her along the roads of joyful and difficult victories.
