MediaDB / «Collected poems" Vladimir Piast: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1922 / This collection of poems is a complete reproduction of three collections of poems released in 1922 (published by Zinovy Grzhebin) by the symbolist poet, prose writer and translator Vladimir Piast ( 1886-1940). Taking into account the fact that the collection "Fence" (first edition 1909) represents poetry from 1903-1907, being the most extensive in the number of poems, the collection "Lion's Mouth" is poetry from 1908-1917, and finally, the "Third Collection of Lyrics" characterizes the period of the early 1920s in the poet’s work - all this, we think, allows us to trace the evolution of the poet’s poetic thinking. It is probably interesting to remember the early response to Piast after the release of the first edition of the collection “The Fence” by N.S. Gumilyov: “...Although among the young swans of Russian symbolism he is not the strongest, not the most proud and beautiful, he is the most mellifluous.” Notes: 1. All verses are brought into line with modern spelling standards. 2. An image from the collection “Fence” was chosen as the cover, which to some extent is the main one in the poet’s work.
