About the book: year / Bogomil Nikolaev Raynov is a Bulgarian poet, writer, art critic, public figure. Bogomil Rainov was born on June 19, 1919 in Sofia in the family of the famous writer and scientist Nikolai Rainov. He graduated from Sofia University, where he studied philosophy and specialized in aesthetics and art history. People's cultural figure of Bulgaria (1971), corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1974). Member of the Bulgarian Communist Party since 1944. Rainov began publishing his first poems in the mid-30s, and in 1940 his first collection of poetry, “Poems,” was published, which was positively assessed by critics. After the war, he worked in Paris for 7 years as a cultural attaché. And in the 50s, the publication of his stories and novellas from the so-called Parisian cycle began, which brought success to Rainov as a prose writer. In addition, Rainov writes social prose from Bulgarian reality, as well as popular science works in the field of art history, in which he pays a lot of critical attention to Western mass culture ("Black Novel", "Mass Culture", etc.) In 1963, his detective story was published novel "The Inspector and the Night". Bogomil Rainov became famous thanks to a series of adventure novels united by the main character, intelligence officer Emil Boev: “Mr. Nobody”, “There is Nothing Better than Bad Weather”, “Great Boredom” and others. There are few chases and shootouts, but there is more than enough battle of intellects. Rainov's enemies are smart, cunning and merciless, but the main character is in no way inferior to them in these qualities. However, Boev’s moral superiority over Western spies is so obvious that the reader does not even have a shadow of doubt about his rightness. Most of the novels were made into feature films, in which, like the film “The Inspector and the Night,” the writer participated as a screenwriter. In addition, Bogomil Rainov is the author of a number of works on aesthetics and fine arts (“Artistic Mastery”). Contents:Emil Boev:1. Bogomil Raynov: Mr. Nobody 2.
