About the book: 2021 / The third and fourth books of the novel “Transbaikalians” by Vasily Balyabin (1900-1990) are dedicated to the Siberians, the descendants of brave Russian explorers, to those who established Soviet power on the eastern outskirts of vast Russia. The novel shows the fighting days and nights of the Transbaikal partisans bravely fighting the Japanese invaders and the White Cossack gangs of Ataman Semenov and Baron Ungern. The reader is presented with images of the leaders of the partisan movement in the Far East; a large place in the work is occupied by the image of the legendary hero of the Civil War Sergei Lazo. The fourth book of the novel ends with a story about the initial stage of peaceful life in Transbaikalia.
