MediaDB / «Angry Earth" by Evgeniy Yakhnina, Moisey Aleynikov: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1963 / "Angry Earth" - this is how the great Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi described Hungary in the 40s of the last century, when the events took place, about which the writers E.I. Yakhnina and M.N. Aleinikov tell in their book. In the days when the land of Hungary was “angry,” the heroes of the story do not immediately find their place in the common struggle for the independence of the fatherland: disappointments are replaced by hope, defeats by victories. Many dangers and unexpected adventures befall them. The youth of Janos Martos, a contemporary of the Hungarian revolution, was eventful. A serf herder of the powerful Count of Fenia, he becomes a soldier and then an officer of the Hungarian revolutionary army and with it goes through the glorious path of victories of 1848–1849. The girl he loves, the weaver Catalina, and the Viennese student Franz Kalisz take part in the same events. The revolution of 1848–1849, its successes, defeats, personal destinies of its participants - historical figures (Lajos Kossuth, Mihai Tančić, Sandor Petőfi, etc.) and fictional heroes - form the content of this story.
