This collection includes two novels - “The Golden Chain” and “The Road to Nowhere”, which were not previously published in Detgiz. Both of these novels belong to the best works of A. Green. Both have a plot rich in adventures, bright romantic characters of the heroes. The reader will get acquainted with the sixteen-year-old cabin boy Sandi Pruel - “faithful Sandi”, dreaming of exploits and experiencing his first real adventure in the “palace of the golden chain”; with the noble youth Tirreus Davenant, who so courageously walked his path of suffering (“The Road to Nowhere”).
