About the book: 1981 / The book tells about young Muscovite militiamen who, from school or student days, voluntarily left to defend their hometown from fascist invaders who became real soldiers of the active army. In the center of the story, next to the snipers Natasha Kovshova and Masha Polivanova, who were posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, their friends are students of the Automotive Institute.
