About the book: 1994 / Obeying the highest order of Empress Genmei, the court historiographer Ono Yasumaro in the spring of 712 presented to her court three scrolls of "Records of Ancient Acts" . The first scroll of this ancient monument of Japanese writing includes a set of myths. The final two scrolls of the Kojiki contain the events of Japanese history until the beginning of the 7th century, the genealogy and deeds of the first emperors, presented in chronological order. "Kojiki" is the sacred book of Shintoism - the national religion of the Japanese. A complete translation of the monument is published for the first time.
