MediaDB / «On the steppe border. Defense of the “Crimean Ukraine” of the Russian state in the first half of the 16th century” Vadim Kargalov: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1974 / In 1480, the Horde yoke was overthrown, but the struggle of the Russian people with the Mongol-Tatar conquerors didn't end. For two centuries, the Russian (Russian) state waged an almost continuous, exhausting war on the steppe border with the aggressive Tatar khanates, which were formed after the collapse of the Golden Horde and launched predatory raids on Russian lands. The book is dedicated to the first stage of this struggle, the most difficult and dangerous. The author tells how the Russian guard and stanitsa service was born in the steppe expanses of the Wild Field, how, as a result of nationwide efforts, the defense system of “Crimean Ukraine” was formed, how Russian regiments and ordinary “Ukrainian people” fought with the Tatar cavalry, defending their native land.
