About the book: 2015 / A popular Russian restaurant in Los Angeles is crowded with emigrants from Russia. Several companies celebrate family reunions, birthdays, bar mitzvahs. Emigrants left their homeland for a variety of reasons, and everyone had some kind of dream, which, as the emigrants thought, could only be realized in the West. Mysterious men appear at the heroes’ tables from time to time (demon Abadonin and angel Jofilov). For their secret reasons, they transport the heroes either to their past, or to their future life, or to another, parallel world, where the heroes fulfill their dream, but do not experience happiness from it.
