MediaDB / «Neuromancer" by William Gibson: download fb2, read online
About the book: year / ATTENTION! There are at least two translations of W. Gibson's novel "Neuromancer": the book version, which apparently was never posted online, and online, which, unfortunately, is available on all electronic resources. He can be distinguished by the name "Neuromantic". Unlike the book version, it contains a huge number of gross errors that greatly distort the meaning of the book, which prompted me to make another, more correct online translation. I did not pursue the goal of creating a literary translation. On the contrary, I was even ready to allow some violations (“they don’t say that in Russian”) in order to preserve the original spirit of the book and convey its content in a minimally modified form, since in the case of Gibson the form of presentation itself is an integral part of the book. From “Neuromantics” I borrowed a rather successful decoding of “BAMA”, and from the book translation I borrowed the name “Anthill”. If you are reading this translation, it should be in Microsoft Word format in order for the footnotes to be visible. Footnotes explain the meaning of many terms. Happy reading!
