About the book: 1937 / "Time and the Conway Family" is a play in three acts by the English writer John Priestley, written in 1937. The play illustrates John William Dunne's "theory of time", and is one of a number of his plays that play with various concepts of time. The idea for the play arose after Priestley read J. W. Dunne's book An Experiment with Time, in which Dunne argues that all times occur simultaneously, that is, the past, present and future are one, and linear time is only a way in which human consciousness is able to perceive it.
