Its roots related to the increase in social and interethnic tension in the USSR in the 1970-1980s are analyzed; the reaction to this by radical Russian nationalists, which found expression in science fiction, is discussed; the features of neo-pagan approaches in the political and religious spheres are traced; the characteristics of neo-pagan ideology are given and its manifestations in politics, religion and art are shown. The portraits of the leaders of neo-paganism are examined and their path to it is analyzed. The reader will also gain insight into the formation of various neo-pagan communities and their alliances in the last twenty years. The issue of xenophobia in the neo-pagan environment is discussed. The book is of interest to religious scholars, ethnologists, historians, sociologists, political scientists, as well as to anyone interested in new religions and radical social movements.
