About the book: 2017 / In the first book of selected stories (and stories) by L.M. Gunin, covering a vast period of his work (1980–1999), is represented by the Second Trilogy. Edited from 1995 to 1999 (2002), the stories of this author, despite the controversy of such a statement, can claim the status of a “new direction”, reflecting a unique “individual stylistism”. Against the backdrop of the “avant-garde” thinking of the author, his prose, perhaps , one of the rare (if not the only) successful examples of an attempt to end the “disintegration of times” by connecting pre-revolutionary Russian literature with its modern existence.
