About the book: 2020 / Tatyana Aleksandrovna Aksakova (née Sivers) (1892–1981) - Russian aristocrat, daughter of the state councilor, genealogist and numismatist Alexander Alexandrovich Sivers . In 1914, she married Boris Sergeevich Aksakov from the Aksakov family and took her husband’s surname. She lived a hard life, full of hardships and losses: a happy St. Petersburg childhood and Moscow youth gave way in 1935 to arrest and a sentence to five years of exile, which she served in Saratov; in 1937 she was arrested again and sentenced to eight years in a forced labor camp; in 1943, due to illness, she was released early and exiled to Vyatskie Polyany, in the Kirov region, where she began writing her chronicle. In 1957 she was completely rehabilitated and in 1967 she returned to Leningrad. She died and was buried in Izhevsk at the Southern Cemetery, the grave is lost. Her memoirs - from the end of the nineteenth century to the 60s of the twentieth - are one of the best examples of the now forgotten genre of “family chronicle” and one of the best memoirs about that first cloudless, and then stormy time in which Tatyana Alexandrovna had to live. In general, the fate of the “Family Chronicle” contains a lot of incomprehensible things. It was first published in a small edition in Paris, by the publishing house Atheneum, in 1988. In 2005 - in the publishing house "Territory" with a circulation of 1000 copies, surprisingly small for those times. In 2006, the publishing house "Indrik" published "Family Chronicles" in an even smaller circulation - 800 copies. It is not surprising that you could read this book only by downloading it from the Internet.
