About the book: 1995 / As he spiraled toward the big blue planet, in the shuttle boat from the ship that had brought him here to Dilbiya, Bill Waltham thought despondently over the situation in which he found himself. He had spent most of the five-day flight wearing a hypno-helmet, so that his head now resembled a compact encyclopedia of information about the world below and its impressive-sized inhabitants. The shuttle was supposed to drop him off in a valley, not far from a village called Wet Nose. There he will apparently be met by Leif Greentree, Earth's agriculture representative there, and his second assistant trainee, an Earth girl named Anita Lime. The two were to introduce Bill to his local partner, a Dilbian from the mountains named Holmotop. Kholmotop, in turn, was supposed to introduce him to local farmers, residents of Wet Nose, after which Bill could begin to perform an important task, for which he was sent here...
