  • MediaDB / «Maidan Diary" Andrey Kurkov: download fb2, read online

About the book: 2015 / In the fall of 2013, Andrey Kurkov was preparing a collection of essays about Ukraine for the Austrian publishing house Haymon. However, on November 21 it became clear that he would not be able to finish it. Instead of a collection of essays, this book was written for a European reader. In it, the author described in detail, day by day, what was happening in Ukraine from the very beginning of Euromaidan. This is not a revolutionary action film, not a propaganda text - this is the writer’s personal diary, a document telling about life in Kyiv and in the country during the Euromaidan, during the occupation of Crimea and after these events. “Maidan Diary” was published in translations in English, German, French, Japanese and other languages, and for the Ukrainian edition it is supplemented by reports on the events that took place in Ukraine until the beginning of November 2014, written for the Norwegian newspaper Dag og Tid».
