MediaDB / «Sri Aurobindo. Diversity of heritage and unity of thought" Vladislav Kostyuchenko: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1998 / The legacy of Sri Aurobindo (1872-1950) - the great son of India, leader of the national liberation movement, thinker who practically carried out the synthesis ideals of the East and West, a spiritual seeker, the founder of integral yoga, and finally, a poet who during his lifetime received the name rishi (poet-seer) - unique in many respects. Within its framework, a completely new interpretation of ancient Vedantic monuments (Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita) is given. This teaching, with all its filigree logical elaboration, is based on Sri Aurobindo’s own spiritual experience. It is captured in a wide variety of forms and genres: in inspired philosophical prose, and in brilliant epistolary prose, and in philosophical lyric poetry, and in epic poetry. The breadth of topics covered in his writings is also unique: they examine almost all spheres of human existence. And all his multifaceted works affirm a new type of spirituality, the essence of which is not in withdrawing from the world, but in the elevation and transformation of human life in all its aspects. The book is a general overview of the multidimensional worldview and legacy of Sri Aurobindo.
