About the book: 2015 / The book includes works of different genres - essays, reviews, literary portraits. The first part presents works that explore various aspects of the life and creative path of Vladimir Nabokov, and also publishes a “combined interview” of the writer, collected from newspaper and magazine publications of the 1950s–1970s; in the second part, “without anger or partiality,” the works of Nabokov scholars and researchers of the Russian diaspora are examined, as well as the works of Nabokov’s contemporaries, leading foreign writers, without whom the history of world literature of the twentieth century is unthinkable: John Updike, Anthony Burgess, Mario Vargas Llosa, Evelyn Waugh, Virginia Woolf, Lawrence Durrell, Iris Murdoch, William Styron, Martin Amis and others.
