About the book: 2020 / Melanie’s life is changing rapidly. Recently, thirteen-year-old Nola, the daughter of her beloved Jack, has been living in her house, the existence of whom they both learned only recently. Nola has a skillfully made large dollhouse with figurines of the inhabitants - a copy of one of the city's ancient mansions. Rumor has it that the mansion, which has a complicated history, is haunted. Melanie and Jack go to the owner of the house to sort out these rumors, because recently Melanie and Nola have been receiving mysterious and sometimes quite frightening signs from otherworldly forces.
