About the book: year / The monograph is dedicated to the life of Berlin middle-class families in 1933–1945. To what extent was family life as the “last fortress” influenced by National Socialism, how the Nazi regime sought to unify and consolidate society, to invade the most private spheres of human life, why contemporaries considered their life “ordinary” - the author gives answers to all these questions based on primarily on primary sources: materials from Berlin archives, memoirs and interviews with old Berliners. The book is equipped with an introductory part, which raises the question of the subject and methods of the history of everyday life as a branch of historical science, a bibliography and an appendix. The book is of interest to German historians and a wide readership.
