About the book: 1961 / The biography of Mikhailo Vasilyevich Lomonosov, written by the literary critic Alexander Morozov (1906–1992), is based on a large amount of new material revealed by historical research of the mid-20th century. Some chapters of the book are based on the independent works of A. A. Morozov. Literary reconstructions, which greatly enliven a scientific text, are based in most cases on proven historical material. This book was published in an abridged version for the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov. It was first published in 1950 and was awarded the Stalin Prize.
