About the book: year / In 1985, Bushkov moved to Krasnoyarsk. The first book of science fiction stories, “Standing on Fire” (1986), was also published there. Since 1987, he made money exclusively from literature and took part in the organization of the first independent publishing houses in Krasnoyarsk. In 1989-1991 he made several translations of science fiction works, mainly by Polish and Czechoslovak authors. He combined his writing activities with work as a cultural adviser to the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Lebed. Fame came to the writer in the mid-90s after the release of the dilogy about Stanislav Svarog - “Knight from Nowhere”, “Flying Islands”. Later, the author continued the series about the paratrooper officer Svarog, who, with the help of a shaman, finds himself in a fantastic alien world. The brave warrior saves beautiful princesses and discovers new continents, solves ancient mysteries, returns stolen treasures to their rightful owners and performs many other noble deeds. Detective and adventure works, the action of which takes place in the fictional city of Shantarsk, behind which Krasnoyarsk is clearly visible, have also become popular. In 1997 year, with the publication of the book “The Russia That Wasn’t”, a series of journalistic works by Bushkov begins, in which he criticizes traditional ideas about history, as well as evolutionary theory. The author continued to express his original opinion not only on history, but also on modern events in subsequent documentary books. Since 2006, Bushkov’s books began to be filmed - the film “Piranha Hunt”, the TV series “Mad”, “Platinum”, “Flock” and others. At least 4 books a year are published from Alexander’s pen. The writer described his own style as dynamic and operational, with warlike and sometimes cruel heroes. Currently, Bushkov is one of the most published authors in Russia. Alexander writes in a variety of genres, from action and detective stories to fantasy and horror. The writer's books have been published with a total circulation of several million copies. Very little is known about the author himself. From rare interviews you can find out that the writer lives in a village near Krasnoyarsk. Married, has a son.
