About the book: 2015 / Orthodox holiday - what is it? When many people think about Orthodox holidays, they have an image of a line of grannies with purses rushing to the Orthodox Church so that the priest will bless apples for them. But seriously, the blessing of fruit or honey is a minor matter. In fact, the Orthodox calendar is compiled very wisely. If you take it seriously and look into it, you can understand a lot about Orthodox Christianity, the Holy Scriptures, and how we need to live. So we’ll try to do this – take a closer look and understand. To be honest, this text is already on the page - it is included in the collection of stories “Bogdan and his family (conversations about Orthodox holidays).” But the collection is quite large, more than 30 stories, and not everyone likes thick books. Therefore, it was decided to place each story separately, so that the reader could choose whether to look at a small story of a couple of pages, or the whole book at once.
